pic I was born into a Christian family. Both of my parents are Christians, and I’ve been going to Chinese Baptist Church most of my life. I accepted Christ at 10 years old after taking this Discover Bible Class, which taught basic Christian beliefs to children.  Even at a young age, though I still did wrong, I realized God’s grace for me and was thankful for his love and did my best with the help of the Lord to live a righteous life.

A few years afterwards, I was baptized at 12 years old.  It was my own desire to be baptized at that point because it was then I realized God’s love in my life and felt the need to express my love for Him publicly.  I felt that this changed me, because I felt that during difficult times, God was always there as a Comforter and encouraged me when times weren’t well for me. Phillipians 4:6-7 was a verse that I looked to frequently to assure me of future worries.

As I grew older, I felt my relationship with Christ grew stronger.  Through this, I’ve achieved wisdom in Christ through retreats and mission trips.  Missions trip to Mexico help me realize how fortunate I am and how much I take things for granted sometimes.  It gave me a heart for the people and made me realize that people are hungry for Christ, which made me want to share what Christ has done for me.

Going to Baylor has strengthened my faith through the influence of friends, bible studies, and especially AFC.  And today I know that I strive daily to grow my relationship with Christ through BSF, prayer, listening to sermons, and service.  After seeking the Lord with all my heart, I’ve experienced His blessings for me and my future.  I like to reflect on this verse throughout my life: "Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)
